First day of taking calls
Dec. 2nd, 2002 01:20 pmWell, it's going okay.
There was an accident on Autoroute 40 which overflowed onto the 20 (a truck turned over and spilled tar over three lanes), so I was nearly half an hour late to work. Gurk. Suspension, here I come. At least they were nice about it this morning. My Team Manager won't be thrilled, though. :(
Otherwise, am discovering that postpaid clients are a lot like prepaid clients, except maybe slightly more up there on the IQ charts. Not by much, though. My last call before lunch was a complete disaster, although it mostly wasn't my fault. The client just refused to listen to my explanations, then decided that because I was new it had to be because I was incompetent that he didn't understand what I was explaining.
Honestly, how hard is it to understand that voicemail will cost $6 per month and that if you pick up your messages from your cell phone it'll be charged to your free minutes?
*sigh*
Fifteen minutes before I head back online. Wish me luck, folks!
