Going out for downtown wandering with Firewillow today. Am enthused, though may actually have to refrain from buying more books. Books are fun, but I must learn to be responsible with my paycheck.

Actually, I'm already pretty responsible. Half of it has gone into savings already. I'm damn tempted to keep buying books. *sigh*

Gotta write yet another email to Poms. I thought *I* was uncertain and tormented about this... ^^; This is just great. It's apparently a close thing as to which one of us is more nervous and high–strung about this relationship.

One thing I think I'll have to reassure him about is that I don't need him to (in his words) throw himself into shark–infested waters in order to retrieve my comb. I mean, much as I enjoy reading books and watching movies about eternal romantic love, I have enough of a realist in me not to actually expect that of him.

I'm perfectly happy to have him be attracted to me and find me nice to be around. I mean, that's pretty much how I feel for him. If after four dates both of us knew that we were meant to be together for eternity, I'd be worried, quite frankly.

Again, I'll be quite content to work at this relationship and accept all the different contingencies that come with it. I don't really believe in soulmates in that way, nor in love at first sight as a reliable means of building a relationship. Like most important things in my life, I'm pretty damned certain I'm going to have to work at this.

Silly Poms. Turns out he's much more of a romantic than I am. I suppose that might be for the best. It kind of sucks when the woman is more romantic than the man, because then she starts expecting him to behave in ways which would never even occur to the poor sod.

Off to breakfast. Have a feeling that I won't be eating much with Firewillow as her ulcers are acting up. Yech. Ulcers suck, even if I've never had one (don't want one, either).

Woohoo!

Now my LJ actually loads!

This is a great scam: "First one's free, kid." ;)

Wow Incarnate was fun.

Alvin has a daughter. None other than Lotus Bond, Richard Bayle's niece. Yep, Alvin has a daughter nearly the age of the woman he's about to marry. That woman also happens to have been the uncle of his daughter in a past life.

So that would make Shannon Alvin's brother–in–law.

*rotflmao*

Oh, man. I practically don't even remember the rest of the session now. ;)

No, actually the rest went well too. Marital counselling with Stefano, and more brother–related Angst for Nick, although the Incarnate Breeding Program is right on schedule, since he's now dating Amy Griswold (her parents are thrilled, being the founders of the program and all).

Svetlana's mentor from another past life is in the States, so that's all good, even if he does suspect she may be a crackpot.

Stefano's case just keeps on getting more complicated. JW outlined his plans to me in the bus on the way home, and I'm now very afraid.

Am refraining from pestering Curtana about her New Game(tm). Did that in quieter periods tonight. If I continue she may just run screaming into the night.

Hey, can anyone tell me how to do that link–to–name thing in my LJ? That would be mighty cool. :)
