So many events, so little time

D&D was much fun. Maura and Inho got to talk, which was very sweet to watch. Especially MM, who turned a very endearing crimson as this scene was played out. It's nice being nineteen, I think. Not that there aren't disadvantages to every age, but I remember nineteen as a pretty good age. Seems very far away, though it's only about four years. That was before I came to university, though.
Defeating Khalil El Zhavor was not the mind–bogglingly difficult task I feared it would be. True, we were grossly overpowered, and having an extra Heal spell each certainly helped, and Maura *did* die right at the end of the battle (just before Gared put the minotaur/dracolich out of his misery with an amazing five attacks which totalled 129 points of damage, 100 more than he actually needed).
Still, we came out victors, and we got mucho mucho loot. More than we'll ever know what to do with. Gared got the deeds to Myth Drannor, and we've asked Victor for a one–off in September when we'll go there to rid the place of all the evilness and take all the stuff from there too. ;)
Incarnate well and truly rocked. Shannon got possessed twice by Voltaire, both times willingly. The first time he wanted to do some exploring by himself and practically had to be dragged back to Dr. Bennett's office, protesting all the way that he was the greatest mind of the last two millennia and who did they think they were manhandling him this way, etc... The second time he tried to relinquish his hold and couldn't, and finally they had to call in Svetlana to do a "Psychic Eviction" ritual to get Shannon back.
Stefano got rid of Barbara Peabody, Svetlana finally got her wish of becoming an active part of Alan Teasdale's research project, and Nick finally got closure with his brother Joseph, who committed suicide when he was seventeen and drunk. That was really my favourite scene of the evening, I think.
Shannon got Alvin and Lotus to talk, and she did indeed get married, which was fabulous. No possessions, no nothing bad at the wedding. Except maybe Lotus wearing a translucent yellow gown. Oh well. She slept with Stefano by the end of the wedding.
*sigh* At least Forthright confirmed that we would eventually be able to remove her from her horrid sex cult and bring her back into the fold of the family. Shannon will be thrilled.
Also have it on good authority that Peter Griswold will be happy to have Shannon work with him on his program of integrating Incarnate children into the Incarnate world and society. Maybe she'll be able to bring the two orders slightly closer together. Okay, maybe not.
Speaking of which, she joined the Forfecates. Heh heh heh... Now Alvin will be able to tell her about what he does all day. *g* Poor Shannon. My work is done.
Am looking forward to Curtana's game like no one's business. I have so many things I want to try out, not the least of which playing a character who's a complete self–serving bitch.
Off to bed. It's half past midnight and I have to get up in five hours for work.

Ahem...

Date: 2002-04-24 10:22 pm (UTC)"Hi, this is my father Alvin, and his wife, my uncle Shannon." :)
Heh...
I'd rather Lotus wasn't taken out by her own father. Besides, as far as Shannon is concerned, sex cults are morally reprehensible.
If Alvin hadn't intimated he might have to "deal" with Lotus, I'd have been content with leaving things as they were. If she wants to run a sex cult, who am I to interfere? ;)

Date: 2002-04-25 06:45 am (UTC)Well, the step-mother/daughter talks ought to be fairly interesting...
Ahem.
*eg*
Is it my breath?
I mean, honestly. In the LARP, you won't join my Clan; in Incarnate, you won't join my Order. Even though you were a perfect candidate in both cases!
Hmmph. }8^(
I feel pariah-sized. {8^(
