So the metro got closed for emergency reasons today, forcing me to walk much of the way to work.

My first thought? ZOMBIES!

Good thing I'm writing the sequel to the zombie novel this year, eh?

EEEE!

*flail*

SQUEEE!

W000t!

*other fanboyisms*

As always, I'll be happy to provide technical support and beta reading and so forth :).

Hee! Thank you!

I will try to post them up as soon as they're written, same as last time.

Yay, and w00t. So what's the plan? Sequel?

Yep, sequel. I suspect the metro will be involved again, but there will probably be a lot more flashbacks this time.

Mostly I still don't have a plot, but hopefully that will be remedied by Sunday. (eep!)

Plot? It's a zombie novel.

"Oh no! Here are some zombies!" should do, no?

If the metro ever goes down while I'm on it, I hope to god you're on the train with me.

That worked for the first novel, but the sequel may take a bit more to keep people's interest. The novelty has worn off, after all.

Hee! So I can yell "ZOMBIES!" really loudly and have people look at us funny?

How about competition? The Legolas/Gimli Orc slaying thing at Helm's Deep springs to mind :).

"How many?!"

It's cool. Just keep your knitting needles close to hand.

Ooooh... I totally have some NPCs in mind now! Wheee!

Metallic needles are your best bet.

But if I use my wooden needles I have weapons for vampires as well. Also, we might be able to garrotte a zombie with a circular; depends on how advanced the putrefication is and how easy it would be to pop the head off as a result.

Look at all the exciting things one can do with knitting needles besides knitting!

I will die of laughter if that happens.

And aim for the eye sockets. Temples would be dicey.

But vampires are fictional.

Remember the Johnsonville scene from the first Dawn of the Dead? They were probably giving out trophies at the end of the day :).

YOU MEAN I CANNOT HAZ MAH SPARKLY VAHMPYRES!?

*goes and cries dramatically in a corner, then curls up in a fetal position waiting for her life to end, or for something supernatural to save her, whichever comes first, because heaven forbid she act on her own*

Thank you. I read all four of them for some reason, so I am Very Well Versed in the character's behavioural pattern.

Likewise. I wish I hadn't, now, but I just kept on slogging through them for some reason.

I stopped after the first book. That experience alone was enough to convince me to stop.

Yay, NaNoWriMo! I've been roped into it again this year, and am gleefully creating some rather quirky characters as companions for the returning drivers from last year's novel. So far, so good!

(If you want to find me on the NaNo site, my author name is brakehorsepower :-))

Meh, that's okay. I followed the link to your other Twilight-related post and from there found the link to this summary/satire in the comments, so at least I have some idea. Without the damage to my brain that a direct reading would inflict.

Trainwreck curious. Yes, that describes what happened to me quite well. And then I couldn't stop the trainwreck from carrying on and smashing through level crossings and houses.
