Getting up is hard to do...

In spite of sleeping the morning away yesterday, I still managed to sleep from midnight until 09:00 this morning, to be awoken by the cats.


I am always amazed by the cats' insistence that I get up. It never fails that, five minutes later, they are all passed out asleep on various chairs. Why wake me up if they're only going to go back to sleep? ;)


I bought a barbecue yesterday. Today, once I get my act together, there will be more shopping for outdoor furniture, and maybe some shelves if I have time. Tonight I have been invited to dinner by my supervisor and his wife (the one who had breast cancer, who inspired me to take part in Shave to Save last October), and I will be picking up lilacs there too. Score! :D


In other words, I have a busy afternoon ahead of me.

The same happens with my cats too. They often don't seem even that interested in their breakfasts but I'd say they just like to exercise their dominance. :)
