Navigation strip woes

mousmeOkay, I'm having weird issues with my LJ Navigation Strip. I have it set to show up everywhere I go, but when I click other people's entries, not only do I lose the Navigation Strip, but in entries that are viewed in the default LJ style (as opposed to the custom style of the journal in question) I don't even get the LJ menu bar anymore.
Anyone know what's up with that?
