Hee hee hee!
Man, am I ever in a silly mood. My life rocks. I have a job, my mother managed to sleep off most of her bad mood, I have someone whom I not only love but who loves me back, and I'm off to see my best friend in a few minutes.
Life is good. I slept in until noon. Must've slept weird, 'cause I have a nasty red patch just under my eye, or maybe it's mild frostbite from yesterday. Ick. Still, I've had worse times.
*happy sigh*
I think I'm going to make it. Wasn't sure a few months ago, or even a month ago, but things have taken such a drastic turn for the better that I'm beginning to think optimism might not be such a bad thing after all. Maybe it's just the antidepressants talking, but I don't think so. It's not like they did anything like this before.
Go me!
In other news, I think I may have to do some hand-holding with my mother when I get home tonight. She's super upset about her bird, which is not doing well. He's an old bird, and his girlfriend died this summer, and he's kind of fading now. She wants to take him to the vet today and is flipping out because my father's not home yet from doing the shopping and she can't afford the taxi to take the bird by herself. I suppose I can understand what she's going through. I did the same thing when my hamster was sick a few years ago, and she's attached to the freaky little feathered thing. Maybe partly because I gave her the birds for her birthday eight years ago.
