Distortions in the space-time continuum

Working night shift does something to the fabric of space and time in my little paradigm. I spend the same number of hours working and sleeping as on regular days, but I seem to have less time to get my stuff done, nonetheless.
For instance, I got up today after about six hours' sleep, and gave myself an hour to get ready to go to
luvenditti's birthday bash. On normal days, an hour is plenty of time for me to get ready. Today, however, time collapsed on itself, and I ended up running late.
I am in the midst of The Most Boring Training on Office Safety Evar. On the plus side, Arrogant!Dude has turned out to be a gamer, so we're swapping gaming "No shit, there I was!" stories. I have also introduced him to Yet Another Fantasy Gamer Comic. He is currently reading it and chortling madly. :D
