Corner of Bourbon & Division

So about five minutes ago, I heard whistling in the office. Quiet whistling. I immediately knew what it was, too, and looked around for the source.

Eventually I found one of the managers with the speakers of his computer turned up.

Me: "Sergio Leone?"

Manager: "Sorry?"

Me: "That's the theme from Once Upon a Time in the West. Sergio Leone."

Manager: "Oh, yes. It's from Once Upon a Time in the West."

Me: "That's what I just said. I love those movies."


We proceeded to have a fun five-minute conversation about Sergio Leone, Clint Eastwood, and the lasting effect of the Spaghetti Westerns on the popular psyche.

I also proved, once again, that I can recognize Ennio Morricone at thirty paces.
