In appliance-related news...
Sep. 6th, 2008 12:58 pmOn the home front, I got my appliances yesterday. I am afraid of my washing machine, which looks more like a NASA shuttle than anything else. Must hook it up this week. Anyone know anything about hooking these things up? I am terribly intimidated at the thought of doing my own plumbing all by my lonesome. ;)
As terrifying as the washing machine is, the fridge is even more intimidating. I measured it at the shop to make sure it would fit in the kitchen, but it honestly never occurred to me to measure the depth. It's HUGE. It's a behemoth of a fridge, and dwarfs my poor, tiny kitchen with its infinite white hugeness.
On the plus side, I may never actually have to buy a chest freezer. :P Did I mention that it's huge? 'Cause it's gigantic. I could keep food in there to feed forty people.
I figure I'll fill the bottom shelf with beer and other drinkage, so that I can have guests over ALL THE TIME and NEVER RUN OUT OF BEVERAGES. Sorry, this fridge makes me get all caps-locky.
I never thought I would see the day when my own appliances would cause me such consternation.
