mousme | Not precisely how I envisioned my day (Reply)

So the weird bug that I was trying to fend off since Saturday finally felled me today. I was all set to get up and go to work this morning, but the room had other plans, like spinning uncontrollably for a while.

It was 5am, which is way too early to be calling anyone to tell them I wouldn't be in for the day. So I re-set my alarm for 7am and resolved to call people then.

Then things get a little hazy. I'm pretty sure I called Office!Boss on his cell, because I got his wife instead (oops, still a little early), and she said she'd deliver the message. However, I'm pretty sure I only think I called

ashforestwalker to tell him not to bother picking me up. I thought I had at the time, but looking back I'm pretty sure I was feverish and imagining things.

So the better part of my morning was lost to a nasty fever of some sort. Bleah.

Seems to have broken now, so yay. I'm going back to work tomorrow to finish up what I started and get the ball rolling for when I won't be there anymore.

Not the way I planned to spend my day, but what can you do?

Going to make tea and go back to bed now.
