Is it morning already?

I could've sworn I went to bed ten minutes ago. It doesn't *feel* like seven hours of sleep...

Gotta make my sandwich and go to work. I hope I'm correct in assuming I have a lift to work today, 'cause otherwise I'm already late.

Work went absolutely batshit crazy yesterday. The phone never stopped ringing all goddamn day, which means I got nothing else done except put out fires. Operations!Boss was cranky as all get-out, and he seems to be having difficulty grasping that I am not, in fact, three people.

Him: "Why haven't you called [Client]?"

Me: "You asked me to call [Client] ten minutes ago. Since then, the phone has rung four times, you asked me three times for scheduling details on other jobs, and Office!Boss needed me to print out some invoices. I know that you asked me to call [Client], but I haven't gotten there yet. I can get to it in about five minutes."

Him: "Yeah, okay, but you should have called [Client] when I told you to!"

Me: ...

Him: "Oh, and by the way, I need you to do [C], [D] and [F] before that, but call [Client] first."

Me: "So do you want me to do [C], [D] and [F] first, or call [Client] first?"

Him: "Well, [C], [D] and [F] are priorities and really urgent, so you should do that first. But call [Client] before that, because it's more important."

Me: *beats head against wall*


Don't get me wrong: I'm still enjoying this job. I just wish that Operations!Boss would go home and get some sleep so that the rest of us can get some work done.

Clearly, Phnee, if you can't divide yourself into two people, amoeba-style, you are incapable of doing your job properly. What's wrong with you that you can't accomplish two perfectly simple tasks at the exact same time? Tsk.
