Cleaning Update #1,473,298
Aug. 10th, 2006 10:47 pmI am never getting Stuff ever again. It's trying to suck my life away! Aaaaugh!
I am officially tired. However, the kitchen is now clean. I have reclaimed my counter space. The floor in the dining room is still not washed, but there has been progress. All the dishes are done, all the counters are very very clean, and the floor in the kitchen has been swept. I shall wash it after I was the dining room floor.
One and a half large green garbage bags only so far. I don't know if that means progress or that I'm simply missing something vital.
Tomorrow morning I put out the grey TV stand (the one with the broken door) on the sidewalk with a sign saying "Free to good home" or something, and when I get home in the evening, it will be gone. This is the Way Things Work around here. Even if no one snags it, Friday is the day when you can put large items out to be taken away by the city.
List of stuff that's left before I go to bed
Dining room floor
Kitchen Floor
Tidy the bathroom (nominally)
List of stuff for tomorrow
Clean bathroom (that is, break out the Borax and use elbow grease)
Finish cleaning bedroom
I think that's it. There will of course be details to take care of over the course of the next two days, but nothing I can't handle as it's thrown at me.
I'm rather hoping tonight's stuff won't take more than two hours or so. I'm quite tired by now. Still, it has to be done. The Maternal Unit will be here in the afternoon, and I don't want to have her faced with the Apartment of Doom when she arrives.
So. Back to work.
Maybe I'll bribe myself with tea. Oh, wait. I'm out of milk. Blast. The dépanneur is closed, too. Double-blast.
Fine. I'll bribe myself with something else. I have popsicles in the freezer. This can be done.

Date: 2006-08-11 04:30 am (UTC)I've actually got Comet, I think. I also have liquid Vim, which is my favouritest bathroom-cleaner stuff in the whole wide world.
