"Dear diary,

Today I was pompous and my sister was crazy. Today we were kidnapped by hillfolk never to be seen again. It was the best day ever."

Okay, not quite, but yeah. :)

Rolled out of bed in time to have tea and a slice of cold pizza with [livejournal.com profile] ai731 and [livejournal.com profile] baronscartop, and off we went to help [livejournal.com profile] miseri move into his new place.

Met up with [livejournal.com profile] sorceror, [livejournal.com profile] joenotcharles and [livejournal.com profile] sandman7, and we all trooped back and forth with furniture and various odds and ends. Gamer jokes abounded, people caught up with others whom we hadn't seen in a long time, and did all the things geeks do when they get together for whatever reason.

Fun was had. We went out for a snack after, and more fun was had before we all went our separate ways. The weather was gorgeous (not too hot, too, which was a plus) which helped considerably.

Did some grocery shopping after that, along with [livejournal.com profile] ai731 and [livejournal.com profile] baronscartop, and then I continued my Crusade for Cleanliness in the apartment, which had been abandoned temporarily after a pretty good start about a week ago. My front living room is now, well, tidy I guess is a good word for it. The dining area is halfway to being tidy as well.

With any luck, I'll have finished the tidying part of this whole Crusade for Cleanliness by the end of the week, and so this weekend I'll be able to actually get on my hands and knees and scrub the place to within an inch of its life.

In related news the feline forces of entropy seem to have gained an uncanny insight into my behavioural patterns. They sensed that I was going to clean today, and so left a large puddle of cat pee hidden beneath a piece of furniture. So, when I moved said piece of furniture, I accidentally stepped in the puddle and slipped and fell into the puddle of cat pee. Let me tell you, I was less than impressed.

I love my cats. I love my cats. I love my cats. Today, there was swearing and serious contemplation of turning them into cat-shaped bath mats. I love my cats. I will feel regret that they are dead after I've skinned them. Truly.

Afterward, though, I went down to visit with [livejournal.com profile] ai731 and [livejournal.com profile] baronscartop and they rewarded me with sangria. t!'s sangria packs a punch, let me tell you (no pun intended), and it made me all wobbly and giggly. 'Twas fun. Then there were sausages on the barbecue, and more sangria, and we ate outside and talked about food and parents and politics and gaming and trips to the hospital and religion and Sesame Street.

My conclusion? Life is pretty damned awesome.

I feel the same way this morning (vomit in a leather chair in my case). I am glad that I'm not the only one with these urges, and your reminder of regret has made me think twice about causing them actual harm.

They thank you.

You have grown so much since I first reading your journal. It is really great to see you having a good time. :) You deserve it.

Hee!

*blush*

Thank you for the compliment. It always amazes me how much everyone around me is changing and evolving and growing, even while they still stay the same in all the good ways.

It's pretty cool. :)

Yes, it is definitely a good thing. There's something good in the air these days, it seems to me. Nothing seems quite as dire as it could.

Tell your cat's they're welcome. I have a very large bruise on my hip, and my cats are being smart and hiding from me. ;)
