Houston, we have a problem...

Err, yeah. Been staring blankly at the screen for fifteen minutes. Not a good sign.
It's like I don't really have the intellectual staying-power for this kind of work anymore. Even three pages a day is beginning to be pretty hard. I used to be able to translate a paper like this in about 72 hours when I was still working on other things, and now it's going to take me twice as long just by itself.
In other news, NAFTA is bad for agriculture and all of Canadian industry, too. You'd think people would have noticed it twenty years ago when they first started negociating free trade, or maybe someone would have noticed it in the subsequent twenty years, but apparently it's only our learned author here who seems to hold the light. :P
(Don't get me wrong: I'm not a huge fan of NAFTA myself, I'm just a little annoyed at this poncy little guy who's coming out with these huge declarations about NAFTA being evil, with very few facts to back them up. But then, I'm just the translator: I'm not paid to criticise the text.)
I'm going to go see another movie tonight as a reward. Any suggestions out there? :)

Date: 2003-07-10 02:39 pm (UTC)Am v. tempted, except I think two days in a row might actually make me enjoy the movie less, and I never want that to happen.
Besides, there are a few movies out there that I want to see. Am taking your advice and waiting for The Hulk to be half-price, but then there's Charlie's Angels, and Mambo Italiano (although I can't find where it's playing, curses), and The Italian Job, and, umm, that's all I can think of offhand.
I'd even consider T3, except I haven't seen the first two and it seems silly to go see the third one first.
