I think I scared Shithead today. I think he knows that I'm going to make 50,000 words by the end of the month, because he launched a sneak ninja-style attack on me earlier today. I fended him off with a baseball bat (a really heavy one, to the tune of over 7,000 words) and suddenly he began fighting like a cornered wildcat.

As it is, I think I'm keeping him at bay for now. He's still protesting vociferously in a corner, but I'm doing my best to ignore him. He can pontificate all he wants about how I have no follow-through, but we'll see.

It so happens that Shithead is right on one count: I'm quite tired this week. October was really, really busy and pretty tough on an emotional level, and that combined with the end of Daylight Savings Time has really taken the wind out of my sails. So I shall have dinner, do a bit more writing, and then head to bed for an early night.

Ideally I'd like to get another 1,000 or so words written tonight, but I've stalled a little bit in where I want this next bit of plot to go. Maybe food will help jump-start that as well.

Shh! Don't say his name aloud! He might hear you and come to investigate... ;)

He's been pretty good lately, as it happens. I still plan on backing up my stuff as I go. I'll probably post what I have to LJ when it reaches a good point at which to leave readers hanging. ;)

Now he's trying to get on my lap. See what you've unleashed? ;)

At least he's not aiming directly at the computer.
