Okay, I need to not be alone with myself tonight.

This isn't a crisis or anything. I just don't want to spend the whole evening alone. I'm in a weird sort of headspace, wherein everything in me is screaming for change and nothing in my circumstances really permits it, so I kind of want someone who'll either talk me down or keep me company until I talk myself down.

Or something. I don't know. Someone who'll have a cup of tea with me.

My apartment is clean. So if you want to come by, I'll change the cat litter and make tea, and even stop by the dollar store and pick up some mugs so we can have more tea, and buy food and stuff.

Anything at all, I swear. Just say the word. :)

:::ETA:::

Terribly sorry for the confusion. Phnee is in a weird headspace. I decided halfway through the post that filters were evil and that I wasn't going to filter it, then I got interrupted and forgot to edit that bit out. So this isn't filtered. :)

Just a note: not filtered at all... (no lock).

Also: wish I could. But I'm not even in the same Province!

*HUGS* Hang in there. *thinking good thoughts at you and for you*

If you can't find anyone local, many folks will be online in #changeling tonight for my game, and we'd be happy to talk you down/through whatever's going on... *hugs*

Give me a call at home. I believe you have my number, but I don't have yours. If you want I can come around, If I don't hear from you I will probably drop by and see if you are still needing the company, or have enough.

See ya later.

Ta Ta for now.

If I weren't like 8 hours away or something I'd so be over. I can give you my phone number if you'd like.

I'm in an on-line game myself today, but you're welcome to come hang around and kibitz if everything else falls through.

Well, if I were anywhere near your vicinity, I would take up your offer to drink up your tea supply. I'm not a big tea drinker, mind you, although I like it. Rather, the company sounds intriguiging. I'd bring over some munchies if I lived nearby! As it is, I shall have to settle for "virtual tea" with you. As has been mentioned, I saw no lock icon on this post, so if you didn't intend me to be among the friends filtered, I understand and ask that you pardon the intrusion. If you did intend it, then I'm honored. I think you'd be fascinating company with whom to share a conversation. In fact, although I can't do this while at work, if you're still up at some unGodly hour this morning or otherwise can't sleep, I should be back at my house sometime around midnight, your time. If you're bored silly and looking for some conversation, my IM addresses are on my info page. Consider yourself invited to drop me a buzz any time. If you don't mind, let me know, and I will add you to my address list, if I may.

You know, if you're in a state like this, perhaps it may be useful to consider your primary goal to be relaxing and doing nothing, as opposed to everything, until this impulse passes. Then, when you're feeling a bit less harried about things, you can more easily prioritize the things you want to change.

Do something purely enjoyable for awhile. That's a small change, isn't it? Perhaps you can inform me about how you came up with your username. I remember when I first friended you, I associated it with "mouse." The association was no doubt strengthened by a half-remembered exchange of comments over on [livejournal.com profile] ingenuemuse's page, where you were discussing the group Modest Mouse.

I also want to tell you a bit more about what I thought of your description of The Rural Wastelands of Ohio. As I told you before, I grew up there. You have impressions similar to mine about the place. It is beautiful. Back when I was working for the County Engineering Department, I used to take some really amazing pictures of Ross County. It's a bit flatter up where [livejournal.com profile] prolixfootle lives. If you thought that his part of the state was beautiful, you should see the hills down in the South Eastern part of the state. It's all arboreal hills. Athens, Ohio, where I went to college, is so much like that, it almost felt like going to school in Rivendell to me sometimes. I want to thank you for that post you made. Sometimes, it's good to see one's home from someone else's perspective.

We'll all float on okay...

Now that I've made that post, the Modest Mouse tune "Float On" is running through my head, which is okay, as I actually like having a "cranial soundtrack." I think I'm stuck associating that song with you, now. Heh.

I don't think I have your number, but you're in the phone book, and I recall you're easily found there.

Thank you. :)

you can always come over and watch movies with me ... or are you in the don't drive place? call me later
From: [identity profile] prolixfootle.livejournal.com
I am a big tea drinker, and would love to pop over. However, circumstances prohibit a visit, transporters (as you noted during your visit) not having been invented yet.

Unfortunately, I won't even be around to IM tonight, as I have class right after work. I really would like to chat with you, though - perhaps you could drop me an e-mail? prolixfootle at cs dot com.

And frankly, I was amazed by your description of the Rural Wastelands. You made it sound like Sha Ka Ree...

Lu has volunteered her home for movies and stuff, and has agreed that you should come along. We've left you a message on your voicemail to that effect. Call me when you get home?

Man, I am late for this. Sorry about that, but I don't really check my LJ as frequently as some do. And this is exactly the kind of thing I'd miss. I know you hate them, but there is this thing called the phone... feel free to use my number if you want.
