New job with internet access! Yay!

This will be a short post, but I am now able to gleefully report that my new job allows me to get on LiveJournal at lunch! Yaaaaay!
This means no more wading through 100+ entries when I get home at night. Oh, the nightmare when I used to have to skip a day. But no more! My new employers don`t seem to care as much what web content I have access to (within reason, of course) on my lunch break.
Sheesh. At the other place I couldn`t even get onto Google or the Canada Post website. This is very exciting news indeed.
The short version is this: after being let go last week, I had an interview Thursday and am now working in the wild and wacky world of scaffolding. My hours are more or less the same (I start and finish half an hour later than at the other place), and the job is a half-hour walk away from my apartment. It also pays about $7,000 a year more than the other job. So I'm saving about $200 a month on gas *and* getting paid a heck of a lot more than I was. Go me!
Anyway, I should post and run. Lunch finished and then I couldn't post, so I'm going to pull a fast one now and post this. More later. Stay tuned!

Date: 2005-01-18 08:04 pm (UTC)I have an assignment, but it pays less and has fewer hours... even so, it's a job, so I'm not complaining, but I am still looking for another assignment.
Yay for saving on gas too. Not so with m e, but as I said... it's a job. =)
