Zounds! Thwarted once more!

I decided I would check LJ one last (hah!) time, and as I was doing so I thought I'd just lie down for maybe fifteen minutes.

Lying down proved impossible, as I was blocked by not one, but three sleeping cats.

I say again: Zounds! Thwarted!

Damn, but I'm tired.

The cleaning progresses apace. The cats would say hi, but they're busy sleeping, lucky buggers.

One of my teachers in grad school lived with no fewer than 15 cats, which was kind of weird, because she had a full life and everything. She wasn't some crazy cat lady who never left her house ... she just had a hell of a lot of cats.

Anyway, she always closed her bedroom door before she went to sleep, but one day she layed down to nap and forgot. When she woke up, her first sleepy thought was a panicked, "I'm paralyzed!" And then she realized that all 15 cats were sleeping on top of her various body parts, and that's why she couldn't move.

Hell, my four cats manage that just fine on their own. I can only imagine what fifteen cats sleeping on you all at once must be like! Zoicks! O_O

It is possible, I have found, to have many cats and still lead a full life. It's just that the minute one has more than two one is immediately labelled a "crazy cat lady." Comes with the territory, I guess. :)
