Good morning, good morning!

We've talked the whole night through
Good morning, good morning to you!
Well, it's not morning anymore, but at least I got up at a decent hour after getting home really late yesterday. Went out with Janik and two other roleplaying buddies. Had dinner at Kum Mon, a szechuan/chinese food type of place which was very good, if not ultra cheap. Normally I wouldn't have blinked: fifteen dollars for dinner is pretty impressive, but it's $15 I don't really have.
The two roleplaying buddies, Nico and Dave, are setting up a Mage campaign and they asked me to be an NPC. I have accepted, and am now responsible for Marjolaine, who is playing the role of the mysterious stranger right about now. I can't say more, as
fearsclave may well be enveigled into playing every so often. It looks like it could be a fun game, if Nico and Dave learn how to run smoothly together (they're already not bad), and Nico learns to embroider more on his descriptions and Dave learns to embroider less. Describing a glass of wine for ten minutes is *not* productive roleplaying time.
In other words, we got some gaming in. It was fun, but at that point it took place between midnight and 3am. I was very tired by then. #_#
We were at the Drugstore, a bar I think I've mentioned once or twice before, which is in the gay village. Lots of fun. Janik and I danced from about 10:45 to 11:45, then joined the guys for roleplaying.
As an added bonus, we were joined by Anik, who danced with us for a few songs and then partook of the roleplaying goodness. For those of you who don't know her, Anik is a tiny, voluptuous goth girl who usually has her waist-long hair dyed purple, and it looks fantastic on her. Sadly, this bar was not playing goth music, much to her chagrin. Bonus of the evening was watching Anik two-stepping to "Staying Alive." ^_^
In other words, a thoroughly enjoyable time.
I also scrounged up some stuff yesterday for a makeshift costume for the Hallowe'en party Prospero's Daughter is throwing tonight. I bought a green shirt at a thrift store, which I've sprayed with silver glitter. Once it's dry, I'm going to cut the bottom and the sleeves in a zig-zag pattern, and hope that that looks okay. I'm trying to go for an "urban fairy" look, because Prospero's Daughter has a pair of wings I can borrow. I'll be wearing my paintball boots and black leggings (if I can find them), and I procured a small bottle of silver body glitter and a thing that looks like liquid eyeliner but is supposedly meant to look like a tattoo once it dries. I'm going to *attempt* tribal markings. I hope it washes off easily if I goof or it looks terrible. >_<
I've also put some green wash-out dye in my hair, and later on will be adding silver sparkles to that too.
Next year I'm going to save up and have a good costume, for once.
On the plus side, a lot of the girls at the party are going to be dressed as those women from Chicago (you know the song: "They had it coming/They had it coming/They only had themselves to blame!/If you'd have been there/If you'd have seen it/I bet that you would have done the same!"), which means skimpy clothing, leather, and fishnet stockings. *rrowr*
