This job is sucking the life out of me. I don't think I've ever felt quite this unfulfilled. I'm not desperately unhappy, nor am I depressed (not terminally, anyway), but this isn't the life I want.

I hate living from break to break, from day off to day off. It's not living, it's existing.

This is your life, and it's ending one minute at a time...

Yeah. I remember why I chose my field of study and the jobs I applied for. I wanted something that MEANT something to me. Where I felt like I was doing something important, something good with my life.

I know what you mean, although I'm not particularly worried about what I'm doing compared to other people my age. Maybe when I'm closer to 30 it'll start hitting closer to home...

I just never really pictured myself doing customer service for a living. :P

It's why I chose my field of study too, except that unless I do a master's I'm probably never going to be able to find work in that field. :P

If I had another job prospect (and believe me, I'm looking), I would.

In the meantime, I need to eat, pay my rent and my car lease, and feed my cats.

This job pays well and offers full benefits, so I'm going to grit my teeth and bear it until I find something that I like better. Unfortunately, I find I have very few marketable skills in spite of my university education. :P

I totally know how you feel - I completely hate my job (I think I've mentioned it in my LJ enough ;) ). Mind you, I went into med lab science because I was too chicken to branch out into what I really wanted to do. So in my case, I made my own bed and now I have to lie in it.

Unless the T'ville job wants to ring me up any time soon and tell me they want to hire me.

I sent it in, umm... *checks email* either late Wednesday or really early Thursday. So he's not *very* late on getting back to me, especially since his daughter's sick and all.
