1. Would you consider yourself an organised person? Why or why not?
Heh. Umm, not especially. Anal retentive about certain things, completely lax about others, and with no regard for what should or shouldn't be prioritised by anyone's standards but my own.
2. Do you keep some type of planner, organiser, calendar, etc. with you, and do you use it regularly?
I now have a monthly planner which I try to use regularly. I was missing too many appointments and forgetting too many important things.
3. Would you say that your desk is organised right now?
Surprisingly enough, yes. Both at work and at home. I've been making a special effort of late. :)
4. Do you alphabetise CDs, books, and DVDs, or does it not matter?
I organise by theme, then alphabetise by author/composer, and when it comes to books I also have to make allowances for book size.
5. What's the hardest thing you've ever had to organise?`
My life, actually.
***************
1. When did you first connect ("go online"), and how?
I think it was probably late 1998 or early 1999 at McGill, when I was given an email address for the first time in my life.
2. What was your first communications program?
I suspect it was probably Outlook.
3. When did you first chat over the Internet, and how?
Does a message board count as chatting? If so it was probably around February of 1999.
Otherwise it would be early 2001, when I got my first taste of ICQ.
4. What chat type program(s) do you use now?
I have the four big ones (IRC, AIM, Y!M, and ICQ), but generally stick to Y!M.
5. Who was your first service provider?
McGill.ca
6. Did you ever use AOL?
Nope. Unless AIM counts.
7. Do you admit using AOL in public?
I don't use it, so the point is moot.
8. Who is your current ISP?
I guess it would be Sympatico.
9. First computer that you used to access the 'net?
Ever? Suspect it would be my father's old Mac when I did research for a project at school in early 1998.
10. What computer do you use to access the 'net today?
Cleopatra, my iBook.
11. What was your first 'net handle?
Daphne. Original, eh?
12. Did you use any other handles for any length of time? If so, what were they?
Mostly Bookworm, also Serendipity when the mood struck.
13. What 'net handle do you normally use now?
Bookworm, or mousme.
14. Are you active on any web sites other than LJ? If you're willing to say, what ones?
Used to be active on BUS, but not really anymore.
