A really late Friday Five, 'cause I'm bored, or at least restless enough that I need to do something that involves typing.
1. What is your favorite type of literature to read (magazine, newspaper, novels, nonfiction, poetry, etc.)?
Novels, with comic books/bande dessinées coming in a close second, followed by poetry. Then everything else gets jammed into a tie for fourth place. :)
2. What is your favorite novel?
Not fair, that question. Have read too many excellent novels to have a favourite. I don't think I could even narrow it down to a top 100.
3. Do you have a favorite poem? (Share it!)
Too long to post here. It's S.T. Coleridge's "The Rime of The Ancient Mariner."
4. What is one thing you've always wanted to read, or wish you had more time to read?
Again, too many to list here, but one that's been nagging me for a while has been Don Quichotte.
Oh, and one day I'll read "Clarissa," that two-thousand page epistolary monster of the 18th century that apparently changes your life once you've read it.
5. What are you currently reading?
Manon Lescault (L'Abbé Prévost)
1. What was the last song you heard?
"Lend Me Your Comb" cover by The Beatles
2. What were the last two movies you saw?
"Daredevil" and "The Hours"
3. What were the last three things you purchased?
Err... Fruit juice, cat food and my lunch for today.
4. What four things do you need to do this weekend?
Laundry, laundry, laundry and more laundry.
5. Who are the last five people you talked to?
To be really specific:
fearsclave,
firewillow, Louis the Lich,
forthright, and
curtana in reverse order.
