At least I have Mage tonight. *bounce*
Con was fun yesterday, although I was too tired to really get into my part properly in Louis' LARP, which was unfortunate. Got to see a lot of my friends, although intermittently, and I'm not sure I was coherent by the end.
Poms was there, and said "Hi" to me from behind, so on instinct I turned around and very cheerfully responded "Hi! How are you?" before realising who it was, not that I would have acted any differently otherwise, mind. I think he was surprised that I was able to be so pleasant. I don't know... my parents raised me to be "civilised" no matter how angry I am... maybe he was raised differently?
It was awkward, but he didn't stop to chat, which was a blessing. I was kind of already stressed out, especially as I'd just received his letter. Of course, he couldn,t know that.
Played Grave Robbers From Outer Space with Joane and Shenlo and Sorceror, and chatted with Blackbuffet and caught sight of Forthright and Ipanicked, which was all extremely nice.
The evening ended all too quickly, and I drove Joane and Shenlo home before coming back to collapse in bed (although not before dealing with my made up country, Voracistan; I instituted compulsive nudity and am amused in a juvenile sort of way).
I managed to get a bit of sleep, although not much as I decided not to take my little white insomnia pill. I woke up on average every 45 minutes or so, but was at least able to get back to sleep each time. I don't know if that means I'm getting better or what. It did mean that I hit the snooze button a lot more than I should have before getting up, though.
On an unrelated and disturbing note, Pan-Pan was violently sick on the carpet last night, and to my dismay he vomitted up an alarming amount of yellow plastic. Subsequent investigation revealed that he'd eaten about half the wrapping off a sanitary pad in my bathroom. O_O Luckily he seems to have vomitted it all up and was suffering from no ill effects this morning, but let me tell you, he gave me the scare of a lifetime. O_o I don't even know how he managed to get access to the things, as I keep them at least behind a closed cabinet door.
The moral of the story? Cats and plastic do not mix well.
I have another hour and thirty-five minutes before lunch today, and there are still 130 calls online. They're asking for people to take a 1/2 hour lunch to compensate for the high volume of calls (paid in overtime of course), but I'm not sure I could hack 9 straight hours on the phone with only an hour's worth of breaks in total. Accordingly, I am not volunteering. Actually, I'm not even sure whether or not I have a half-hour lunch today or a full lunch hour.
Gack.
