Nothing new on the Western Front

No, seriously. Nothing is happening in Phnee's world right now. I'm writing a post for Bluebook, 'cause I can't do any filing while L is gone. I have to be here at the desk in case the phone rings. All the managers are gone except for one (they're either on holiday or in various meetings outside the office), and everyone else has gone to lunch.

No one here but us chickens.

Okay, so the phone has been pretty busy, I'll give you that.

Mostly I'm just tired and cranky. What's new, you'll ask? Nothing. I've been tired and cranky for weeks. I'm like a broken record. Bitch bitch bitch, whine whine whine, moan moan moan. :::shrug::: What can you do? I'm going to try to catch a nap on my lunch break.

I'm volunteering at the club tonight. Much as I love the club, I'd rather go home and sleep. Can't do that now. Would be highly unprofessional to fall asleep at my desk. Sleeping receptionists don't make a very good first impression, after all.

Days like this make me wish I had a slightly more stimulating job.

Could someone please hit the fast-forward button on today? At least for me? It's 3:40 and I'm nowhere near home.

Also, I appear to have overlooked some kind of payment, and I'm (yippee!) overdrawn until I can cash my paycheque. I hope it comes today.

Speaking of mail, there's a new mailman who has decided that I don't live in my apartment, but rather with ai731. I'm sure baronscartop might have something to say about that. :P

Seriously, is it that hard to go up one flight of stairs to deliver my mail? Is it?

Meh.

As you can tell, I'm just getting crankier as the day goes by.

I'm also kind of chomping at the bit because I haven't had a chance to practice my drumming since the gig. I must be rusty as hell. :::sigh:::

I'm going to quit writing now. This post is about to die a disjointed death.
