*embarrassed cough*

Uh, HI.

I keep swearing I'll post more, and then I... don't. This is a serious failing on my part, and I am kind of sorry about that.

Part of my problem is that I fell down a New Shiny Hobby Rabbit Hole. This happens to me more often than I'd like to admit, usually right around November. Oops.

I'd promise to be better, but I am trying not to make promises I can't keep. Right now I'm in the last hours of a night shift, so I'm going to keep this entry brief, but I will do my level best to come back tomorrow and try to at least put in bullet form all the things that have been going on in the past eight months or so. There's actually quite a bit, although none of it is very thrilling, I am sorry to say.

I have been woefully absent from LiveJournal and Dreamwidth. Please tell me what important things I missed in your lives, dear friends!

Hi! It's nice to see a new post. I've been absent as well so I can't say anything really. I have poked around of late although it's self serving, I'l say that up front. I published a novel and hoped to catch the attention of those who I know enjoyed my writing in the past because of lovely comments. Ah, those comments. Those really were nice times for a fanfic writer :)

It's called The Music of Love and written under the pen name Sandine Tomas.

You know, I've been mulling LJ of late, especially re-reading comments and sending random messages to folks saying 'remember me?' and the fact that so many of us Americans took to this Russian blog site. I dunno. There is something ironic in there.

It wasn't Russian back then - just Brad Fitzpatrick. I miss the good ol' days...

IT's a little ironic that so many folks stomped off of LJ, appalled by Russian ownership, and now the Russians own our President. Lj seems like pretty small potatoes at this point...

Frighteningly ironic...

I didn't know it wasn't Russian from the start. And, yeah, the irony is pretty impressive.

To be fair, LJ was 100% American when I joined in 2002. I bought my permanent account by sending a personal check to Brad's mom, and we had a whole discussion because her bank interpreted it to be in Canadian dollars and not US, and it was a thing. :P

But yeah, I miss LJ too. I'm trying to be better.

(Edited because I got poor Brad's name wrong)
