Soon-to-be addition to the family

So tomorrow I will be the proud momma to a new doggie. His name is Sergent (Sergeant, for the anglophones on my flist) and he is a husky-collie mix. He's adorable, fully trained, loves pats, and apparently gets along well with cats. He's five years old and a total sweetie —his family have to give him away because one of their children is too allergic for them to keep him.
Photos will follow once I get him settled in. I'm choosing to think of him as an early birthday present for myself. :)

Date: 2012-01-06 06:20 am (UTC)Congratulations, Mamá.
I'm happy for you. I'm sad for him & his family of origin, but things will get better.
That heart-wrenching waiting at the door for the originals to return -- T-Jane did that in November after her original mother saw her on the street and made a gawdawful scene that almost stopped Nephew from allowing T.J. to go back to what had been her home for twelve years.
She kept getting up and standing at the door with her head down, hoping. It was too tragic to watch.
Will Sergeant have visitation, or is that a bad idea?
