Making It Official

mousmeSo many of you probably already know this, since I've talked about it in person, but I figured I would make it doubly official by saying it here. I'm also hoping that putting it out there in public and acknowledging it before the Universe will give me a bit of extra motivation to get my act together.
I have decided to apply to become a regular member of the RCMP.
I have all sorts of good reasons to do this, and I'm looking forward to trying. However, I have a LONG way to go, fitness-wise, if I want to get in. So for the next little while, I'm going to be focussing a lot on getting into shape. I am posting all about this in a different LJ, so you needn't worry about my boring you to death with all those details. If you want to be bored to death, then by all means let me know and I'll provide you with the name.
Right now, tentatively, I have set myself a goal of being in a position to start the application process in January. It's an ambitious goal, but given how long the overall process takes (it's even longer than applying for my current job), I think it's also reasonable.
