Northern Flying Squirrels are reticulated (e.g. they have stripes on their faces). yes, I am that kind of dork. :)Plus, I loves the squirrels. i know how to say that word in fifteen different languages. i need help....

also the southern flying squirrel has a much lighter belly than the northern and the heads are slightly different shape.
