Well, this is inconvenient...
Jun. 22nd, 2009 05:24 pmI appear to have developed a non-major case of conjunctivitis in my right eye. Umm, ow? Also, my vision in that eye keeps going blurry. Very, very inconvenient. I think it's probably from the contact lenses. Definitely going to be wearing glasses for the foreseeable future.
Feh.
Feh.

Date: 2009-06-23 01:48 am (UTC)It could be viral, or it could be bacterial.
If the discharge is sticky and leaves your eyelids crusted over, it's bacterial. Get thee some Polysporin drops and use them for the next 10 days, even if your symptoms subside in 2.
If the discharge is gooey and wet, it's viral. There's nothing else to do than wait for it to pass. Which sucks.
The other things is that your contacts are now contaminated. I hope they are the tossable kind, because wearing them again will bring back the infection...
Trust me. I have experience with these having had two kids with recurring eye problems that have luckily affected me only twice.

Date: 2009-06-23 12:00 pm (UTC)I am being extra-compulsive about hand-washing and towel washing, too. Hopefully that will help, or at least not spread it around.
