I spent the last week fighting with twenty-odd letters for candidates for the new job openings here.

I fought with Word and Word Perfect for the formatting, fought several computers so there could be a suitable official RCMP letterhead, and then fought with the printers.

I wrote the letters, and dealt with my supervisor changing his mind thirty-six times about formatting, and whether he wanted two letters -one in each official language- or one bilingual letter.

I fought with the printer that decided it hated my labels.

I wrestled it ALL into submission today, chased down my supervisor, had him sign all the originals, made copies, built all twenty-odd files (labels, letters, CVs, test results, sample questions, etc.), and have FINALLY finished.

Only to discover a typo in the middle of the letter I painstakingly re-wrote about a dozen times this week.
