New Year's Meme II
Dec. 25th, 2006 06:09 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
Here's the second meme I do every year.
Five things that 2006 taught me:
* Friends are a Very Good Thing to have around.
* Rainbow socks are the best item of clothing ever.
* In order to keep your finances under control, you have to pay ridiculously close attention to what you do with your money.
* You find and lose friends in the most unlikely places (I keep learning this one over and over again each year)
* Aim very high. The more extravagant your goals, the more amazed you'll feel when you accomplish them.
Five personally significant events of 2006:
* Capricornucopia
*
fearsclave and Carolyn's wedding.
*
baronscartop's and
ai731's wedding.
* My belated housewarming.
* NaNoWriMo
Five things I want to do in 2007:
* Finish writing Crisse, des Zombies! (Zombie Crisis!) and submit it for publication
* Travel somewhere out of Canada
* Become completely financially solvent (May as well keep this resolution there as long as I haven’t kept it)
* Keep up with both serials.
* Do something I've never done before.
Five things I don't want to do in 2007:
* Continue in my current financial situation
* Stagnate creatively
* Be a chicken about my love life
* Let my apartment get really messy again.
* Stay in poor physical shape
Five people whom I'd like to know better in 2007:
*
tcaptain
*
rosy1
*
the_adzo
*
aislingtheach
* My friend N who isn't on LJ
For the purposes of this last list, I only listed people I have the potential to interact with IRL, and whom I don't feel I yet know as well as I could/should. Also, this list only allows five people, which is frustrating. I almost feel like leaving that part out entirely every year. It doesn't seem right, because I want to get to know *all* my friends better.
