I got the job. Congratulate me. :)

Of course, it does mean that my local friends aren't ever going to see me again except on weekends, but what can you do?

Looks like we'll both soon rejoin the Land of the Employed. ^_^

Monday. Yeek!

I'm also getting my training during the graveyard shift: that is, 9pm to 7am, all of next week. Then I switch to an afternoon schedule. Aiee!

Thank you!

This is the not-so-far-away dispatcher gig (the other one was even further and inaccessible by public transit, though it had better pay). I have no idea about 'net access, but I doubt it because it's a security company. I may have email, though, in which case if the job turns out to be not-too-busy, we can chat. :)

They're a bit scary. Graveyard shift my first week for training purposes (it's not as busy at 3am, go figure), and 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm thereafter.

I start Monday at 9pm (eek!) for training. Graveyard shift the first week for training purposes, then afternoons/evenings thereafter. Good pay, decent benefits after three months (from what I can tell). More as I learn more.

(Whatever this company is, it must be good enough to know quality when it sees it.)

I hope it did indeed prove a good distraction, but not too much of a distraction. :)

The job is dispatching for a security company called Boomerang. They specialize in recovering stolen vehicles.
