We have no internet access at our dispatch center. Some places allow access to a lot of the internet, some to only certain things necessary for the job and some not at all. (At least, in the US.)
Also, I just now thought of this. There's a yahoo email group called 911console. There are a lot of folks on there with a lot of knowledge and experience in dispatching. There are probably other folks from Canada, too. I haven't participated in a while, though.
