My right hand automatically goes up and my left hand automatically goes to the shoulder. In all the years I've been dancing, that's just how I do it (although, in country dancing--especially when the guy is tall--the guy will often bring his arm up over the girl's and put his hand on her shoulder, so now both your hands are on each other's shoulders. But, that's neither here nor there.)

Two-stepping is easy. I mean, it gets harder when you add in spins and twirls (although, with a strong partner I do OK) or when the music gets fast. But, the basic steps are sooo simple. You could do it easy. I should have taught you when I was there.
