- mount a new towel rack in the bathroom (I bought a new one at Home Depot, so all I need to do now is borrow my uncle's electric drill and we're good to go)
- get new doors at Home Depot on Saturday with my father and install them (so the kitties don't get into
lux80's room at night, and so that I can have a door on my new bedroom (the door to the living room is right across from the entrance door, so I'd like a modicum of privacy myself).
- varnish the new doors.
- give the spare room another cleaning, because, well, it still needs a going-over.
- clean out the closet. The closet is a weird thing that's shared by the bedroom and the living-room (which works out well, since I'll have one half and
lux80 will have the other half).
- move the futon mattress into the spare room and cover it in plastic so the cats don't decide it's a wonderful substitute for cat litter. Right now it's in the closet, taking up valuable space that we'll need for our clothes.
- move the bookcases to the other corner of the living room, since they're occupying the only wall of the room long enough to house my bed.
- do other miscellaneous shifting of furniture until new bedroom (mine) is satisfactory.
I think that's it for now, but I'm sure more stuff to do will crop up as I go along.
Eep! This new roommate thing is exciting, but there's a lot to be done!
