Well, things have settled down considerably, although Gretzky is still having problems letting either George or Pan-Pan come within more than a foot or so of her.

George is determined to get in close, and keeps making bull rushes at her, then leaping aside as though stung when she hisses at him. It's kind of funny, actually.

Pan-Pan has taken to hiding under the bed, as he always does when New And Scary Situations™ arise.

On the plus side, Gretzky is actively wandering around the apartment and doesn't seem intimidated in the least by her new surroundings. She's also very affectionate and purrs loudly when petted. So all in all I think things should work out in the next few days or so.

it only took the neighbour lady's cat a day or so to get used to our new place and two cats. i was very relieved. i wish you luck. :)

We had Cullen's brother's cat, Monroe, for a spell while said brother was away at his firster semester of college. This did not work well at all for our kitty, Tilda, who took up residence under the couch the entire time Monroe was there. When we took in our friend coat's cat, Emma Goldman, upon his move to Washington, however, the two felines near-instantly formed an almost unhealthy attachment to one another! I suppose it's similar to our (that is, humans -- not just you and I) relationship to others: there are some for whom we have great, instant affection, and some from whom we want to run and hide under the couch.
