I know why I call tech support places on weekends... because it's the only time I can afford to tie up the phone that long while waiting. Also, since it is the weekend, it's easier to do something else simultaneously while waiting.
As for the cash... this isn't the first time, if I remember right. It is possible that you are being robbed... I'd run to the bank ASAP and get to the bottom of this fast. Robbed is a nice blanket term, but it may in fact be a legal, screw-you-over fine print somewhere.
