Regardless of whether it's legal or not, it's shite like that that makes people quit their jobs. I'm not going to tell you what to do, but I will say that I'm sure you could find another job that wouldn't treat you like a brain-damaged monkey without much difficulty. You have a degree, are perfectly bilingual, and are willing to work. That's usually more than enough. I'd suggest ditching the car and looking for a job you can get to by metro if you decide to quit.
