Still AWOL
Apr. 26th, 2010 01:42 pmStill no sign of George. I guess it's time to throw in the towel and make "missing" posters tonight at work. The last time I did that he turned up in the garden the morning I came home with said posters. So maybe it'll do the trick again.
Between getting very poor sleep (I've been sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room because my basement is still uninhabitable) and the missing cat, I am in all sorts of bad moods lately. It's ridiculous but what can you do?
I don't want my cat to be lost anymore. I want him home and cuddled up on the bed with the other cats. I haven't seen him in nearly five days, and I want him back, goddammit. Is that too much to ask?
Anyway, yeah.
Got my tax returns all organized, finally, paid a surprise $10 bill from the SAAQ (I don't know what for, but at this point I can't bring myself to care enough to spend however long on hold to find out for $10), and then I'm going to have a late lunch and toddle off to the gym.
I have almost entirely decided upon "General Systems Vehicle Congenital Optimist" as a name for the new car. GSVCO sort of rolls off the tongue, and it can always be the "Congenital Optimist" for short.
fearsclave suggested "General Contact Vehicle Steely Glint," but I'm not sure that really fits with my car or me, as fun as it would be.
I'm not even pleased at the prospect of the car anymore. Losing George kind of ruined everything that's good about this week.
