Fun gaming time
Oct. 12th, 2009 11:25 pm:::Back-dated entry:::
Spent a fantastic Thanksgiving, after getting a later start to the day than I planned. I made brownies, and while I thought I had enough time when I popped them in the oven, I got a serious surprise when the brownies refused to cool. Refused, steadfastly.
So I ended up being late for the Thanksgiving dinner/potluck being hosted by
longpig and
wererogue. I arrived there in time to catch the end of some cartoon on Adult Swim, and then we were treated to two episodes of Venture Bros. Joining us were
gats,
miseri,
moonandtree and
sorceror.
Once the TV watching was done, we set up a game of Arkham Horror, noshed on very yummy Thanksgiving turkey and other edibles (cookies and carrots from the garden, pasta, the World's Best Salad, and many other delicious things), and gamed until well past 23:00. We won, too, although it was a close thing.
We staggered home, and I collapsed into a tired heap, but alas I was too wound up and too full of delicious food to fall asleep right away, and thus it was a VERY short night. Worth it, though.
Good times.
In other news, I am overbooked in the foreseeable future. Again. Gah.
