A rollercoaster of thrills and excitement
Jul. 9th, 2009 07:20 pmSo this morning consisted almost entirely of laundry. Mind you, it was overdue, but I can think of more exciting ways of spending my mornings.
The apartment is looking a lot closer to what I'd like than before. I tidied up a bunch of boxes, carted junk out of my bedroom, washed a ton of dishes and wiped down the counters.
Now if only I could permanently rid myself of the fruit flies that piggy-backed in on my last purchase of nectarines, I would be a happy camper. Does anyone out there have any tricks for getting rid of fruit flies?
Maybe I'll actually manage to get the place tidy by the time people come for WorldCon. Now *that* would be something. So much of my prep for WorldCon has had to give way to work and budgetary re-prioritizing that I'm a bit disheartened, really. It would be a nice change of pace to actually have something go my way.
At least today has gone by moderately quickly. I also kept thinking it was Wednesday, and so I spent all of today being pleasantly surprised that it was Thursday. I can't wait to go home. For some reason I can't seem to keep my eyes open.
