Election Day in the U.S.

Today, dear American friends, is the day you make history. Please remember that your voting system is believed by many to be... suspect, to put it politely, so your vote counts even more, no matter where you live or how "safe" you believe your preferred candidate to be.

My flist is filled with patriots. I know you're all going to go out and vote. Still, I feel that I can't let this day go by without cheering you on.

Go out there and do yourselves proud.

I'm so productive, I can barely stand it

So everyone and their cousin decided to call today while I was trying to sleep. *sigh*

I eventually gave up and got up around 14:00. I then made muffins, cleared out the rest of my books and put them in the bookcases, had dinner, cleaned the bathroom, did all the muffin-related dishes, and cleaned up the kitchen pretty thoroughly.

I then picked up a bunch of old papers that were just taking up space and recycled them, finally remembered to put the garbage bag into the can outside, and cleaned up a puddle of stealth puke that I found in the basement. I love my cats. I love my cats. I love my cats.

I had dinner, did more dishes, made my bed, emptied the dishwasher, showered, and patted the cats. I also fed the worm bin, and composted one of the pumpkins I bought last week (what was left of it).

All this interspersed with multiple phone calls, naturally. On the plus side, both my mother and BorderCrossing called, and so that was two nice conversations.

In short I was ridiculously productive today. I only wish I'd had a bit more sleep. Six hours' of interrupted sleep is not enough for Phnee, although I know I have plenty of hardcore flisters who are even now scoffing at my wussiness.
