Shopping for a new camera

Since I plan on taking pictures in the next few weeks, and my brand-new HP camera bit the dust inexplicably, I have to get myself a new camera. HP has told me that they can't fix my current one for a low enough price that would make it worth it.

So tomorrow I am going to head out to Best Buy and get myself a new camera. I am going to give them back my lemon to dispose of.

Any suggestions for a reasonably good camera for a total point-and-click n00b?

Dear flist,

I have been trying to find Re:Genesis on DVD. I know the first season is out, but I can't find it on amazon.ca, and amazon.com says it's not in stock. Other sources on the web seem to indicate that I'm not the only one having trouble finding this.

Does anyone know where I might find it? Please bear in mind that I cannot download episodes from BitTorrent, or anywhere else. My computer is old, and a Mac, and hates anything having to do with downloading music/film/whatever. It saddens me deeply, and I will try to remedy this with my new computer, but for the moment it's a no-go.

Anyone? Bueller?
