"Money makes the world go around, the world go around..."

The Overtime Fairy is visiting again, and holy cow is she being generous! She left me a check under my pillow (okay, in my cubby at work), which is almost worth two weeks' pay. I just about fainted. That's for the 56 hours of overtime I worked two weeks ago. Hot diggity damn! *does a little dance*

I'm also getting money back from the Tax Fairy this year. Normally the Tax Fairy likes to kick me a whole lot while I'm down, but this year I have an Awesome Accountant who has done magical things with my taxes, and is netting me a very nice return indeed.

In this continuing series of serendipitous events, I am meeting up with my Financial Advisor-Type Guy on Thursday, at which point I will be discussing whether or not to modify my RRSP contributions, and whether or not I should be thinking of doing other things, money-saving-wise, in order to plan for the mythical house I wish to acquire in the next few years.

I am quite excited. If I am very very good and keep both my overtime money and the tax return, I will have a small bit that I can chuck into my RRSPs or something equally as useful. It's like bonus money, something I have never had in the past.
