Has anyone ever told you you talk too much?

Damn. Damn and double damn.

So, yeah. I talk too much. Turns out that I'm going to need more than two installments to finish this bloody story arc.

Argh!

The girl who hates cliffhangers is writing a serial. Irony of ironies. It also means I get frustrated when I. can't. finish. my. story. in the time frame I want. The story just isn't letting me get away with it. Grr!

See, my problem right now is as follows:

1) Put everything in this installment just as I planned, but then it'll be three thousand words long or more.

2) Divide this installment in two, like a good girl, but then tonight's part will be a little shorter, due to my having to divide it at a place that's conducive to stopping the action.


I'm leaning towards Option 2) because I'm posting Part 10 tomorrow and not next week, so my need for instant gratification will be, well, gratified.

In other words, expect Part 9 to be up soon. Not now, but soon. Another hour or so, I would guess.

I can't believe I've been writing this for ten weeks already! I don't remember the last time I had this kind of staying power.

Current word count just shy of 15,000 words. Somewhere in the neighbourhood of 14,927 to be precise.
