Bigfoot Big Weekend Update Part I: Friday

As I noted in my previous entry, I was gone for the entire weekend for the Mega War Game at Bigfoot Paintball which took place on Saturday. Like last year, I will be updating this in several instalments, as it is already quite late and I have to work tomorrow.

Well, shit

I guess that running around in a swamp all day on Saturday and then jumping in a cold lake at 10pm and then bouncing around in the rain in only a t-shirt and pants yesterday wasn't a good idea. Fancy that.

Now have a very sore throat.

Whine, whimper, whinge

Wanna go home and have gallons and gallons of tea.

Nothing is wrong with me save that my throat is very, very dry and raw and sore and I want lots of tea and cough drops and soothing syrup, none of which I have here with me. :(

In fact, I believe that I only have tea at home anyway.

Feh.

Am cranky and whiny now. Actually, I kind of have a mild headache which isn't helping matters.

Must finish last two and a half pages of translation before I go home. Oh, and pester my employer to sign my new contract with me so that I can get paid in September. Money is good.

*sigh*

*wanders off*

Note: I am absolutely coming to FVLMINATA, but will be staying away from physical contact with people so that no one else has to get a summer cold, especially not right before their wedding. If you'd rather I stayed away in light of that, that's more than understandable. :)

Took my last two paragraphs of work home with me, and ought to be finished in half an hour, if that long.

Have had a sandwich. Not crashing from hypoglycemia is a Good Thing™ that must be encouraged.

Have put on for tea. Water will be boiling soon, and I will be a happy camper once more.

Have taken Tylenol, which ought to help with the pain and reduce the swelling in my throat. This in turn will make gaming more fun tonight. :)

I'm out of milk. Well, I have enough for one cup of tea.

Maybe I still have some cream left somewhere.
