Post-Valentine's Day update
Feb. 15th, 2003 12:35 pmI have decided that until my schedule becomes more normal, I'm going to treat myself to a late movie on Fridays.
So I went to see the 10 o'clock showing of Daredevil yesterday, and I must say it was a lot of fun. Ben Affleck needs a little bit of training on acting the part of a superhero, but otherwise the movie was well-paced and actually had a plot, which surprised me no end.
firewillow is going to squeal in geeky glee when she sees all the trailers before the movie. LXG, X-Men, and a ton of others I don't recall off-hand. I am *so* going to see X-Men when it comes out: it looks like they've actually solved their "We don't really have a plot! Help!" problem from the last movie.
Oh, and concerning Daredevil: man was Bullseye just perfect! I don't know how he's supposed to be in the comic books, since I never read them, but dear God was it a bloody convincing act! All twisted and obsessive–compulsive and Irish and really cool! He had the best lines in the movie, too. :)
Am off to see the Parental Units, then will be making something fruit-related for
joane's Valentine's Day Detox party.
