George the Destroyer strikes again

mousmeGeorge has killed another modem cable. Someone please remind me why I keep the cats around? Please?
(Repeat to self: I love my cats. I love my cats. I would regret it if I killed them and turned their pelts into rugs. I love my cats.)
Y'all will remember the last time this happened, and the subsequent saga and angry phone calls to Sympatico before the whole thing got resolved.
Luckily I now know the drill. I spoke to customer service, to a nice boy with an unpronounceable name clearly working out of India or a similar country, who promptly and politely put in an order for me. In the meantime I'm working with the replacement power cord I bought back in 2007, which is not ideal but will serve for now.
