I got myself some swag from Lee Valley. It is nifty.
Since I am planning to start my garden in February, I got myself some seed-starting thingies, much like the ones
fearsclave has. I also got some that are self-watering, thus ensuring that I don't accidentally kill my fledgling garden by forgetting to water my seedlings.
No, I haven't decided yet what I'm going to plant. ;)
I also bought a really cool binder with built-in pockets and things in order to store all my extra seeds. It is WAY cool. I can keep it on a shelf and not worry about finding a home for all my seeds and things.
I also got myself a compost aerating tool.
ai731 had trouble with our two composters in the garden, in that the rate of decomposition has been pretty slow. This appears to be a problem with the particular upright model that's there. So I got a neat tool to help with that. The idea is to mix up the compost and add air to the mix, the idea being that that will aid the breakdown of organic stuff. 'Cause right now both bins are full practically to overflowing. So this summer I'm going to try to fix that, rather than buying a new compost bin. There's no room in the garden for another one, anyway.
Okay. I am off to help my mother run errands. Have a nice day, all!
